About The Position

As a Medical Biller in the Healthcare group at Forvis Mazars, you will assist long-term healthcare clients with their monthly accounts receivable and billing functions. This entry-level position requires problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a comfort with technology to effectively manage billing processes and client interactions.

Requirements

• A background in healthcare accounting, medical billing, or accounts receivable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and Adobe
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work for multiple clients to consistently meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with multiple software systems
• Experience in problem-solving and troubleshooting
• At least 1 year of experience in a related field

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with a team in multiple software systems to prepare and bill claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payers
• Maintain accounts receivable aging and related reports
• Post payments to patient accounts
• Reconcile patient accounts
• Assist clients with billing and related regulatory matters
