  • Provides technical expertise in deploying and supporting application platforms, medical devices and software integration in healthcare environments.
  • Responsible for designing, building, and supporting complex healthcare systems interfaces at customer sites.
  • Works with project teams, clinical users, application subject matter experts, and software vendors to establish the needed business and technical requirements.
  • Provide Integration with customers' EMR systems and medical devices.
  • Deploys Baxter's common architecture platform and software applications directly to customers' environments.
  • Deploys new interfaces and modifications into production environments while adhering to established change control policies and procedures.
  • Assist in various integration projects, including but not limited to Inbound/Outbound ADT, Orders and Results, PCD01/03/04/10 and Staff Assignments.
  • Work directly with external customers and cross functional teams on the development of system interfaces including writing detailed interface specifications.
  • Ability to participate in a 24×7 support rotation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Up to date industry specific HL7 technical certifications, or minimum two years' experience in an HL7 integration role providing onsite and/or remote service.
  • Experience with HL7, FHIR, XML, JSON and API integration.
  • Familiarity with IHE (PCD) framework and standards.
  • Demonstrated skill working with HL7 interface engines (Mirth, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, Epic Bridges, etc.).
  • Experienced in Linux-based operating systems (RedHat, Ubuntu) and containerization (Dockers, Kubernetes).
  • Scripting language experience such as Python, PHP, JavaScript.
  • PostgreSQL database experience a plus.
  • Experience working with hospital EMR (Cerner, Meditech, Epic, etc.) a plus.
  • Experience with patient monitoring systems (GE, Phillips, etc.) a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and with team members from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
