About The Position

The job responsibilities include performing general healthcare environmental services (EVS) duties to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary hospital environment. Responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, common areas, and clinical spaces; high-level dusting; emptying trash; cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms; wet mopping floors; and following infection prevention protocols. Candidates must have prior experience in healthcare environmental services and a strong understanding of hospital cleaning standards and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Healthcare experience required
• Must be able to enter patient rooms, including rooms with isolation precautions
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must have a high level of customer service skills
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to carry up to 20 pounds at times
• Must be able to reach, bend, squat, lift and pull safely and efficiently
• Must have reliable form of transportation to get to and from work
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
• Must be able to show proof of recent FLU vaccinations
