This is a 4‑month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion (dependent on business needs). ✨ What You’ll Do As an Intake Specialist, you’ll support patients, providers, and internal teams by:

Requirements

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent telephone and customer service abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer navigation
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and follow detailed instructions
Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
Capacity to learn new systems quickly
High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s degree preferred)
At least 1 year of work experience in healthcare, insurance, customer service, call center, billing, pharmacy, or a related field

Responsibilities

Entering referral information accurately and on time
Working directly with physicians, referral sources, and staff to obtain proper documentation
Reviewing medical records to ensure compliance before services are rendered
Communicating financial responsibility to patients and collecting payments when needed
Navigating multiple EMR systems to gather required information
Coordinating with insurance verification and sales teams
Offering excellent customer service by phone and email
Following company standards for documentation, shipping, and delivery processes
Participating in after‑hours on‑call rotation as needed
