About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Healthcare Construction Project Manager in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves overseeing construction sites, general contractors, and workers to ensure a high level of quality and safety. The Project Manager will provide direction to contractors regarding field activities, create and review Requests for Information and Change Orders, and verify that the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practices. Additionally, the role includes providing technical support to Project Managers, assisting in change order estimating and negotiations, coordinating and monitoring schedule updates, invoices, and submittals, and reviewing and managing the progress of contractors’ construction schedules. The Project Manager will also report on the status of projects to the Project Manager, Program Manager, and Client, and attend client program meetings as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience.
  • Must possess OSHPD/HCAI experience.
  • Must have experience with medium to large healthcare project.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • OSHPD 1 and OSHPD 3 project experience is a must.
  • Must be able to interface with client and maintain the relationship while managing the project.
  • Excellent communication skills is a must.
  • Manage and assign staff on the project.
  • Design-Build experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees construction sites, general contractors, and workers to ensure a high level of quality and safety.
  • Provides direction to Contractor regarding field activities.
  • Creates and reviews Requests for Information and Change Orders.
  • Verifies that the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practices.
  • Provides technical support to Project Managers.
  • Assists in change order estimating and assists the Project Manager in change order negotiations.
  • Coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices, and submittals.
  • Reviews and manages the progress of contractors’ construction schedules.
  • Reviews weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes.
  • Reports on the status of projects to Project Manager, Program Manager and Client.
  • Attend client program meetings as needed.
