The Healthcare Cloud Data Engineer will be responsible for building a repeatable framework to ingest data into the Azure data lake. This role involves developing data transformation and movement pipelines using approved Advocate Health technology, including Python or GUI-based ETL/ELT tools. The engineer will design parameter-driven orchestration for change data capture and monitoring, assemble large and complex data sets that meet both functional and non-functional business requirements, and drive technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deployment. Additionally, the role requires building the infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using SQL, Python, and complementary technologies, while ensuring that delivered solutions are realized within the committed time frame.

  • Build a repeatable framework to ingest data into Azure data lake.
  • Develop data transformation and movement pipelines using approved AH technology.
  • Design parameter-driven orchestration for change data capture and monitoring.
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.

  • Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
  • Ensure delivered solutions are realized in the committed time frame.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Typically requires 2 years of experience in at least two IT disciplines, including database development, pipeline development, and data engineering.
  • Experience in data transformation and data pipeline development using GUI-based tools or programming languages like Python.
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases and query authoring.
  • Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
  • Understanding of Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure DevOps.
