About The Position
The Healthcare Analytics Manager - Medical Economics position at the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) is a pivotal role aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery through data-driven insights. This position is designed for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in healthcare economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field, coupled with substantial experience in Medicaid or Medicare data analysis. The successful candidate will lead two critical teams: the Healthcare Analytics Team and the Data Governance Team. The Healthcare Analytics Team is responsible for translating complex Medicaid claims, encounters, and membership data into actionable insights that inform decision-making processes across the agency. This involves creating standard reporting packages, dashboards, and key performance indicators that help identify trends and address business challenges. The Data Governance Team focuses on establishing best practices for data management and governance, ensuring compliance with statewide policies, and representing AHCCCS in the State Data Management Steering Committee. In this role, the manager will oversee the analysis of healthcare data, present findings to agency leaders, and support the development of strategies that enhance the quality of care provided to Arizonans. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to communicate complex data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
