About The Position

The Healthcare Administrator is responsible for the overall operation of the Health Center, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while providing high-quality care to residents. This role involves leadership, operational oversight, and financial management, working closely with the Executive Director and other leadership team members to achieve community goals and enhance resident care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Experience working with the geriatric population.
  • Current Nursing Home Administrator License in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and Continuing Care Retirement Community operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Leadership team to meet community goals in operations, human resources, sales, and resident care.
  • Oversee the Resident Care staff, including hiring, training, counseling, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with staff orientation, training, and ongoing education requirements.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures compliant with applicable regulations.
  • Represent the Health Center in relationships with outside agencies and healthcare providers.
  • Advocate for resident rights and ensure conditions for licensure are met.
  • Implement corporate initiatives within the care center.
  • Enhance employee engagement and retention through effective employee relations strategies.
  • Monitor practices in the Health Center for compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Manage grievances and issues regarding resident care.
  • Establish and sustain a quality assessment/performance improvement program.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of clinical records for residents.
  • Identify and report deviations from safe practices and risk management issues.
  • Participate in resident and family education and counseling.
  • Manage emergency situations according to safety and disaster policies.
  • Support employee and resident survey processes for performance improvement.
  • Coordinate with leadership on special events and activities.
  • Serve on committees as required by Health Center policy.
  • Participate in budget development and monitor operating budgets and capital expenditures.
