About The Position

Trinity Metro is seeking a dynamic fitness professional responsible for leading the daily operations of the wellness center, elevating member experience and driving growth of a comprehensive wellness program. The incumbent will design and deliver engaging training sessions and implement health initiatives that increase participation and retention. The Health & Wellness Manager will combine strong program development and community-building skills to create a results-driven inclusive environment that moves the organization’s wellness vision forward.

Requirements

  • Three to Five years of experience in fitness instruction, wellness programming and managing day-to-day gym operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management or related field.
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.
  • Holds a nationally recognized personal training certificate (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, etc.)
  • Any combination of experience, training, and/or education that provides the required knowledge, abilities, and skills may substitute for the required education.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the onsite gym, ensuring clean, safe and welcoming environment that supports employee health and physical activity.
  • Develop, plan and implement individualized wellness plans and appropriate health and fitness programs for employees. Actively visit departments, worksites and transfer centers to engage employees in wellness activities and encourage health habits in their work environment. Instruct group exercise classes.
  • Develop and maintain the yearly wellness budget and implement appropriate annual adjustments based on company needs, program participation and evolving wellness priorities.
  • Communicate and advocate the company’s wellness program. Serve as the primary administrator and point of contact for the wellness platform, educating and assisting employees with registration, navigation and program participation.
  • Provides wellness education via multiple communication avenues including seminars, newsletters, etc. Work closely with Marketing to message all departments of wellness initiatives through various platforms. Coordinate company wellness fair with Human Resources to ensure ongoing awareness and intervention activities for all employees.
  • Work with wellness vendors to identify current health needs and collaborate with Human Resources to align wellness initiatives with healthcare cost reduction strategies.
  • Track and maintain daily, monthly, and quarterly participation and usage records for wellness programs, the onsite gym, and wellness program. Use data to develop and sustain a retention program that encourages ongoing employee engagement.
  • Develop and maintain successful working relationships with employees across all departments. Provide one-on-one wellness coaching, personal training and create individualized exercise and wellness plans. Perform blood pressure screenings upon request.
  • Serve as chairperson for the wellness committee, conduct regular meetings to gather employee input and feedback.
  • Participate in new hire orientation to introduce wellness resources and programs. Give tour of wellness center and on-site clinic.
  • Conduct CPR and First Aid training for employees, ensuring timely certification and refresher training. Deliver AED training and maintain compliance for designated key personnel.
  • Coordinate with the Health Clinic for biometric screenings and flu vaccinations in conjunction with health plan open enrollment.
  • Fosters community partnerships to enhance wellness programs offerings, education, and opportunities for employees.
  • Maintain confidential information.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Other duties, as assigned
