About The Position

The Intern position provides the opportunity to develop technical knowledge, build client management skills, gain knowledge from industry leading consultants to build a great professional career in advisory services for health and wellness programs. Provide support to consulting teams and department initiatives. Must have sound technical and organizational skills, a capacity to learn through experience, and a strong commitment to meet agreed upon timeframes and deadlines.

Requirements

  • College students that are enrolled in a degree program related to Mathematics, Statistics & Actuarial Science are preferred. However, college students that are enrolled in a degree program related Finance, Economics, Business, or other quantitative and analytical discipline will be considered also.
  • The ideal candidate will be entering their senior year of college or enrolled in a post-graduate degree program.
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently, diagnose and resolve issues, and meet client deadlines
  • Great communication skills and presentations skills
  • Experience working as part of a team, including extracurricular activities, clubs, sports teams, etc.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel is required; Word and PowerPoint are preferred.
  • Previous experience in an office setting is also preferred.
  • Candidates must be able to work in the US without restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Support small & mid-market client consultants on annual, quarterly, monthly standard and ad hoc client reports, projects and analyses.
  • The main projects a candidate will be supporting are health insurance budget projections and financial reporting for our clients with self-funded arrangements.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with colleagues and clients regarding data collection and project tasks.
  • Create documents and materials for meetings based on standard formats.
  • Develop experience providing quotes, forms and email/phone contact with groups and members.
  • Develop a good working relationship with all levels of staff.
  • Increase efficiency by identifying ways to improve processes.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
