About The Position
The Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) plays a crucial role in providing clerical support to the clinical team, ensuring smooth daily operations of patient care. This position serves as a vital communication link for processing information and requests between patients, staff, visitors, physicians, and other departments. Responsibilities include managing patient-related data entry, maintaining medical records from admission to discharge, and ensuring communication is culturally and age-appropriate. Additionally, the HUC Trainer is responsible for onboarding new Health Unit Coordinators at The Christ Hospital.
