About The Position

Welcome to a medical center where you're the center of attention. Overlake Medical Center's Labor & Delivery unit has an exciting opportunity for a Health Unit Coordinator! The Health Unit Coordinator performs a variety of clerical, coordinating and communication activities to support unit operations. Our Labor and Delivery Department includes a 6-bed medical screening observation room along with 12 private labor, delivery and recovery suites with bedside newborn admits. The unit also features 3 operating rooms for Caesarean section deliveries and 3 PACU recovery rooms. In addition, we also have direct access to our NICU. .9 FTE (72 hours per two-week pay period) Night shift 12-hour shifts (1815 - 0645)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Exceptional customer services skills and strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Effective organization and interpersonal communication skills
  • Familiarity with computers required
  • COVID-19 vaccination requirement: After October 18, 2021 all Washington state healthcare employees, contractors and volunteers will be required to provide proof of full COVID-19 immunization as a condition of employment. You must provide this proof before your first day of employment with Overlake. Please remember to bring your COVID-19 immunization card to your pre-hire health screening with our Employee Health team.
