About The Position
As a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) you will serve a vital role in being the communication link for the unit. Responsibilities include processing of physician orders, maintaining the patient’s chart and performing clerical/receptionist duties to support patient care staff.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent experience/knowledge required
- Knowledge of medical terminology required
- Minimum of one year experience with office procedures and equipment with computer experience preferred
Nice To Haves
- National Health Unit Coordinator certification preferred
- Previous experience utilizing an EMR (electronic medical record) preferred
