About The Position

As a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) for the Emergency Trauma Center (ETC) at CentraCare Health, you will serve a vital role in being the communication link for the unit. The St. Cloud Hospital Emergency Trauma Center receives 60,000 visits per year and is the region's most comprehensive facility of its kind. We are a designated Level II Trauma Center and have 38 private patient rooms, including rooms dedicated to the special needs of children, trauma victims, and psychiatric patients. We provide surgical services for trauma, neurosurgical, oral/maxillofacial, orthopedic, and plastics concerns in addition to having one of the busiest stroke programs in Minnesota.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
• One year experience with office procedures and equipment with computer experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients, families, guests, and providers.
• Manage telephone communications.
• Organize and maintain patient charts.
• Coordinate patient transport to and from procedures.
• Perform clerical and receptionist duties to support patient care.
