About The Position

The Health Unit Coordinator/Emergency Department/Urgent Care Technician (HUC/ED/UCT) receives direction regarding work assignments from the Emergency Department (ED) Charge Nurse. The HUC/EDT performs direct and indirect patient care tasks and unit clerical duties to assist in the function of the medical team and to help meet patient and family needs during their time in the ED.

Requirements

  • Must have or has had a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) awarded by the State of Wisconsin, or Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified nursing assistant (CNA) experience.
  • Experience working as a nursing assistant and unit/or coordinator in a hospital setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.

Responsibilities
