In the Float Pool, you will work with diverse populations of patients in numerous units, departments and/or locations while learning from many of our best caregivers. As a Health Unit Clerk, you will provide a high level of customer service to patients, families, visitors and employees to promote and support the highest level of patient experience A caregiver in this position works evenings from 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. including every other weekend rotation and 3 holidays per year requirements.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
One year of experience in a customer service-related role
Prior job experience with typing or computer training or equivalent coursework

Nice To Haves

Microsoft Office experience

Responsibilities

Perform administrative and clerical duties.
Conduct an in-person greeting and welcome newly admitted and transferred patients to the unit.
Communicate with and facilitate communication between patients, families, other departments and healthcare team members regarding patient care.
Assist with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
Provide concierge service to assist patients and families with wayfinding and directing them to available resources.
Assemble and maintain patient medical records and other documents related to patient care.
Troubleshoot equipment.
Respond to patient call lights.
Keep nursing stations clean and organized.
Complete mandatory education and training.
