About The Position

This is a Direct Hire Authority job opportunity announcement for positions eligible to be filled through the Office of Personnel Management's delegated Direct Hire Authority (DHA). The DHA has been authorized by the Homeland Security Act of 2002 and relevant federal regulations. All applicants who meet the basic qualification requirements will be forwarded to the Selecting Official for consideration. The traditional rating and ranking of applicants does not apply to the Direct Hire process, but Indian Preference does apply. Applicants must clearly identify their duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours worked per week. To qualify, applicants must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited school, or equivalent, and possess a current, unrestricted license as a Physician. Graduate training in a clinical setting is also required. This position has no promotion potential, and applicants will only be selected for the grade they qualify for.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
• Current, active, full, and unrestricted license as a Physician.
• At least 1 year of supervised experience in a clinical setting.
• Board Certification in the physician's specialty or actively pursuing Board Certification.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a specialized field of medicine.
• Completion of a residency program.
• Board Certification by the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct service in a clinical setting.
• Participate in internship, residency, or fellowship programs as required.
• Maintain a current, unrestricted medical license.
• Meet board certification requirements in the physician's specialty.
