About The Position

Health Technician to join our team. We are looking for people who learn quickly, have strong interpersonal skills

passionate about our mission.

The
Health
Team
cares
for all the
pet
animals
entering our
shelter. As a
Health Technician
you will alert
veterinarians
to
the
husbandry and
healthcare needs of each animal on its journey to a forever home.
In addition to communicating
with veterinarians,
Health Technicians
work with multiple internal and external department
teams, including
animal
control
officers,
customer
care front facing associates,
and volunteers via volunteer
services,
to ensure that animals
become available for placement
as expediently as possible.

This position will challenge you to learn a host of animal care skills, population enrichment and engagement needs, communication,
and
critical thinking
skills. If you are a strong team player who enjoys multidisciplinary approaches to problem solving and wants

Requirements

• AA, AS or two years of post secondary education required.
• An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Two years of experience working in veterinary medicine, veterinary hospital kennel technician, animal science, public health, laboratory animal research, doggy daycare, boarding facilities, animal quarantine facility.
