About The Position

The Health System Specialist serves as the Administrative Officer to the Associate Director of Patient Care/Nurse Executive at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System. This role involves providing health system management support services to align with the medical center's mission, goals, and objectives. The incumbent will be responsible for administrative management within the healthcare delivery system, ensuring effective patient care and organizational policy implementation.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required to apply for this job.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Must meet time-in-grade requirements for GS-13 position, having served 52 weeks at GS-12 level.
• Undergraduate and graduate education in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields with coursework in healthcare administration is required, or equivalent specialized experience.

• Strong analytical and administrative skills in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities
