About The Position
The Health Services Protégé position is designed to provide Siletz Tribal Members with an opportunity to gain experience in the health field by working at the Siletz Community Health Clinic. The Protégé will learn about the overall functions of a successful health clinic and will initially focus on Medical Support, which includes records management, patient scheduling, and customer service. The Protégé will also select a minimum of four areas of interest from various clinical services to gain in-depth knowledge and experience. After completing the two-year program, the Protégé may work in one area of interest for an additional six months to gain further experience or obtain certification. Successful completion of the program may lead to employment in an entry-level position within one of the clinical service areas without the need for a formal recruitment process.
