The Contra Costa County Health Information Technology Department is offering an excellent employment opportunity for a full-time Health Services Information Technology Security Specialist position assigned primarily to the Health Services Information Technology Unit located in Martinez, CA.   • Evaluating and responding to information security alerts
  • Acting as part of the organization's information security incident response team
  • Maturing the organization's vulnerability management program
  • Providing usable and understandable information security guidance to a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining cybersecurity defenses
  • Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in healthcare or business administration, computer science, information security, management information systems, or a closely related field.
  • Four (4) years of full time or its equivalent experience including 1 (one) or more years in a healthcare information technology environment, implementing and managing technology security of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, and network protocols in a large, complex, information technology organization.
  • All applicants must include official or unofficial college or university transcripts, or a copy of their degree.
  • Applicants who have attended a foreign or non-U.S. accredited university or college must provide proof of education evaluation completed by a service affiliated with the National Association of Credentials Evaluation Services (NACES) with transcripts.
  • All supporting documents must be scanned and attached to the application at the time of submission.
  • Possession of a: MCITP, CCNA/CCDP, or JunOS are desirable.
  • Familiarity with developing and operating vulnerability management programs
  • Familiarity with Microsoft M365 native and 3rd party data classification tools
