About The Position

The Health Service Coordinator (HSC) provides general clinical, clerical, and technical support to nurses in IQIPS, to include Nurse Line, Care Management, and Community Health Access, and Patient Care departments. The HSC role requires telephonic interpersonal skills characterized by clear communication in an empathetic and professional manner. The position requires the ability to make decisions consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health System’s policy/departmental protocol, with strict observance of patient confidentiality.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated keyboard, computer, and telephone proficiency.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a Medical Terminology course.
• Graduate of a Health Unit Coordinator, Medical Office Specialist, or Medical Secretary program.
• Six months previous experience in a healthcare facility to include direct patient contact or previous customer service experience.
