About The Position

The Health Service Administrator is responsible for the oversight of assigned departments and/or facility. Responsible for the patient care provided in their assigned areas. Responsible for resource management, including but not limited to human resources, materials and financial resources, and day-to-day operations of the facility. Demonstrates competence with licensed functions, marketing, team building, budget and strategic planning. In a correctional institution, this position also ensures that clinical operations are carried out in compliance with all security procedures and correctional facility rules. Must be knowledgeable and compliant with State and Federal regulations that govern correctional healthcare services, as well as any credentialing agencies or governing bodies. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, including enforcement of corporate and facility policies and the development and enforcement of department-specific policies. Responsible for customer, employee, and provider satisfaction initiatives within a secure correctional environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or in process of achieving degree
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in area of responsibility
  • RN Licensure in South Carolina or Compact Licensure Agreement
  • AHA BLS Certification
  • 10 years progressive work experience and 5 years management experience

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 1 to 3 years leadership experience preferred
  • Certification in area of responsibility preferred
