About The Position

The Department of Health Sciences and Human Performance in the College of Natural and Health Sciences at The University of Tampa invites applications for part-time instructors in health sciences, personal health, nutrition or allied health. Responsibilities will include:

Requirements

• A minimum of a Master's degree in health sciences, exercise sciences or a related field required; Doctorate preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in nutritional and/or personal health programming, community health, public health, or an allied health profession preferred.
• Previous teaching experience in nutritional and/or personal health programming, community health, public health, or an allied health profession preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach one or more course sections meeting 2-4 hours per week for a semester.
• The course textbook is selected in consultation with the full-time health sciences and human performance faculty.
• Assist students both in and out of the classroom.
• Create syllabi for students each semester using learning outcome guidelines provided by the department.
• Provide meeting time for students as needed.
• Administer and grade examinations and assignments.
• Manage online or paper grading system as needed.
• Adhere to all applicable department, college, and university policies and procedures .
