The Health & Safety Technician I will assist in and support the identification, assessment, reporting, and correction of workplace environmental factors, unsafe conditions, and behaviors at the assigned site. This role also involves assisting site management in complying with Company, OSHA, MSHA, and other regulations and standards, performing risk assessments, analyses of operational procedures, facility design, equipment and material, audits, and incident investigations. The technician will help develop and recommend appropriate remedial actions, maintain current knowledge of relevant regulations, and assist with drafting reports and presentations for management.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of working experience.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or GED
  • EMT certificate
  • Paramedic certificate
  • Firefighter 1 (FF1) or Firefighter 2 (FF2) certification

Responsibilities

  • Assist in and support the identification, assessment, reporting and correction of workplace environmental factors, unsafe conditions and behaviors at assigned site.

  • Develop a current knowledge of Company, OSHA, MSHA and other regulations and standards.
  • Assist site management in developing Health & Safety plans and remedial actions.
  • Assist with drafting appropriate reports and presentations for management.
  • Perform other duties as required.
