About The Position

The Health and Safety Site Manager at Primient is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, as well as the protection of the environment within a facility. This includes the development and implementation of Health & Safety programs, and day-to-day support for health & safety initiatives for all production areas. The role emphasizes a strong safety culture, compliance with OSHA regulations, and continuous improvement in safety and environmental practices.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a Health & Safety role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and other relevant regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop safety programs.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and build consensus.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and a results-oriented mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Corn wet milling experience.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing employee and contractor training programs and promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Establishing and maintaining industrial hygiene monitoring and reporting programs.
  • Acting as a liaison with authorities during emergencies involving the plant.
  • Meeting all reporting requirements for federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Interfacing with regulatory agencies during audits and permit updates.
  • Creating and enforcing safety policies.
  • Conducting regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Providing training programs and communicating safety protocols to employees.
  • Keeping track of safety metrics and preparing reports for management.
  • Staying updated with relevant laws and regulations and ensuring compliance.
  • Fostering a culture of safety and well-being among employees.
  • Continuously seeking ways to improve safety and environmental practices.
