About The Position

The Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective health, safety, and environmental programs across all DMA Industries, LLC Distribution Centers (DCs). This role ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations while fostering a safety-first culture through training, inspections, and proactive risk management. The HSE Coordinator will travel regularly to multiple company locations to ensure consistency in safety practices, conduct audits, and provide on-site guidance to local teams. This is an on-site position that requires regular weekly travel to each of DMA's facilities. Remote work is not available for this role.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in workplace health, safety, and/or environmental compliance, preferably in a multi-site or distribution/logistics environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience (typically 5+ years in a dedicated HSE role) will be considered in lieu of a degree. OSHA 30-Hour, HAZWOPER, or similar safety certification is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and training skills. Ability to influence others, lead safety initiatives, and work independently across multiple locations. Ability to effectively communicate at various levels within the organization.
  • Solid understanding of OSHA, EPA, and relevant environmental regulations. Familiarity with safety audits, risk assessments, and compliance reporting. Familiarity and ability to use power equipment such as forklifts and order pickers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with safety tracking systems and digital auditing tools is a plus.
  • Ability to travel to and move within multiple warehouse and office locations, including climbing stairs and walking on concrete floors.
  • Frequent standing and walking during site visits and audits.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds (e.g., safety equipment, training materials, etc.).
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching during inspections or equipment checks.
  • Adequate vision and hearing for identifying hazards, reading reports, and communicating in varied work settings.
  • Exposure to warehouse environments with temperature changes, machinery noise, and operational movement.
  • This position requires regular travel (estimated 30–40%) to DMA locations.
