The 3rd Shift Health and Safety Coordinator position plays a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of team members during overnight operations. This position primarily supports the sanitation and maintenance crews and responds to medical emergencies, performs routine health checks, and assists with safety compliance across the facility.

Requirements

  • Current EMT certification (State of Virginia or National Registry) or LPN/RN Certification
  • CPR/AED certification required.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate medical care and first aid to employees in case of injury or illness.
  • Support sanitation crew with safety oversight, including PPE compliance and ergonomic assessments.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and hazard assessments during sanitation operations.
  • Assist with incident documentation, reporting, and follow-up investigations.
  • Maintain medical supplies, first aid kits, and emergency response equipment.
  • Collaborate with HR and Safety teams on wellness initiatives and injury prevention.
  • Respond to facility-wide emergencies and coordinate with external emergency services if needed.
  • Support other departments as needed with safety-related tasks or health monitoring.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling employee health information.
  • Must be available to work weekends as needed
