About The Position

Position Summary: The Site Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Coordinator will support the operations of Safran Aerospace Composites (SAC) by managing the Health, Safety and Environmental Program. This position will ensure all SAC practices are in compliance with the Company's requirements and meet all federal, state and local regulations. The position is responsible for managing the HSE regulatory programs and permitting requirements for the 345,000 square foot Rochester, NH site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related discipline required.
  • Five years of relatable experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local regulatory standards.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Effective team building, presentation and project management skills required.
  • Demonstrated effective planning, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction, meet deadlines and to concentrate and pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to make sound judgments and respond to emergency situations in a calm manner.

Nice To Haves

  • NH Hazardous Waste Coordinator Certification strongly preferred.
  • OSHA 10 Hour General Industry Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable health, safety and environmental regulations for facility.
  • Increase employee safety awareness by providing comprehensive and consistent training (both regulatory and company mandated) for employees based on a training schedule and as required.
  • Develop, implement and maintain safety and health programs, systems, procedures and educational information.
  • Responsible for regulatory compliance reporting to Federal, State and Local agencies.
  • Create and maintain implementation and audit schedules of all applicable plant policies, procedures and trainings related to health, safety and environment.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance for resolution of safety related issues.
  • Perform internal workplace safety inspections and report findings.
  • Work with others to investigate accidents, injuries and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace.
  • This position acts as the Alternate Emergency Coordinator.
  • Gather, analyze and maintain data on safety, health and environmental programs and report findings (i.e. deviation collection, air emissions, waste generation, industrial hygiene monitoring, )
  • Achieve and maintain compliance with the Company's internal HSE requirements.
  • Act as leader of Safety Committee.
  • Act as lead of hazardous waste program ensuring all waste is characterized and disposed of in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
