Summary: Performs Human Resources functions as assigned including Recruitment coordination and administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a 4-year university and actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resource management or related degree program.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rule and procedure manuals. Ability to write correspondence and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • The responsibilities of the position include compliance with company and governmental safety, environmental and hazardous materials regulations and procedures. The employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment in specified areas.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews applications and prescreens applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position.
  • Assists HR department with internal and external job postings.
  • Assist with Application Tracking System(s) to identify and recruit candidates.
  • Uploading of documents for electronic backup.
  • Assists with new hire orientation preparation.
  • Files and maintains employment records.
  • Assists with the Site Wide Activities Team (TEAM)
  • Communication Boards updates plant wide communication boards with upcoming activities, meetings, anniversaries, and other important information as assigned.
  • Assist with auditing attendance and reporting on data.
  • Assist with duties pertaining to training reporting and documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Respecting and ensuring respect for the instructions and rules established in the field of health, safety and the environment (in particular the LISI golden rules)
  • Immediately correcting, whenever possible, or reporting to his or her superiors and/or the HSE department, any malfunction or risky situation in the fields of health, safety and environmental protection
  • Implementing preventive actions to reduce the environmental footprint and control health and safety risks
  • Participate, upon request, in analyses (of risks, incidents) and HSE working groups related to his/her professional scope
  • Be familiar with the main health and safety risks and the main environmental impacts relating to the scope of his/her work
  • Be familiar with the site's HSE policy and objectives
  • To be able to make proposals for improving working conditions and limiting environmental impact
