About The Position
The Health Record Technician I (HRT I) position is a limited term role for 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to 24 months or conversion to a permanent position. Under the supervision of the Health Record Technician II (Supervisor), the HRT I is responsible for performing health information functions in accordance with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) and California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) policies, as well as institutional Local Operating Procedures (LOP). Key duties include processing Release of Information (ROI) document requests, assisting in sorting, prepping, and scanning patient documents, and maintaining tracking logs of ROI requests.
