The Hispanic Federation (HF) is the nation's premier Latino nonprofit membership organization. Founded in 1990, HF supports Hispanic families and strengthens Latino institutions through grantmaking and direct services in the areas of education, health, immigration, civic engagement, economic empowerment and the environment. Values that drive our work include equality, fairness, diversity and empathy. We are looking for four (2 in Orlando, 2 in Miami) dedicated, culturally sensitive, and community-oriented individuals to join our team as a Health Promoter for the Diabetes, Heart Health, and Multiple Sclerosis program. Health promoters are responsible for conducting community outreach, completing trainings and workshops for community members, and tracking their participation by completing reporting for Hispanic Federation. The program's goal is to connect with at least 750 people over 6 months per promoter through workshops, health fairs, community presentations, and one-on-one interactions. Health Promoters will follow program materials and guidelines, maintain regular communication with the HF program manager to report impact and follow-up data, and demonstrate a strong commitment to diabetes prevention, cardiovascular health, multiple sclerosis awareness, and the promotion of healthy lifestyle habits.
