About The Position

Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager II, Data Analytics, Statewide Mental Health Program (SMHP), the Health Program Specialist I (HPS I) functions as a highly-skilled program consultant for the SMHP who provides ongoing support, maintenance, and configuration involved in the Business Rules and Methodology Review (BRMR) process for Quality Management (QM). The HPS I is responsible for assignments, studies, and projects as they pertain to the policies and procedures of the BRMR unit and works closely with executives to manage, monitor, and respond to BRMR issues. Statewide travel may be required. This position is located in the Mental Health Program. The program's mission is to provide ethical, professional, and effective mental health care services for patients within all 35 of California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation's institutions statewide. With a competent, well-trained staff, they are committed to providing optimal care, promoting patients' successful reintegration into society, and reducing recidivism. About the location - Headquarters, Elk Grove. Located less than 30 minutes from Sacramento and Lodi, the progressive city of Elk Grove offers a great mix of newly developed housing, business projects, and recreational opportunities. This position has the possibility of travel up to 5% of the time with limited notice. The position(s) is eligible for hybrid telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Requirements
