Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Public Health or 4 years of professional experience related to health programs appropriate to the assignment.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based programming for teen pregnancy prevention education and fidelity of curriculum.
  • Knowledge of techniques and theories in working with youth, especially positive youth development.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories.
  • Knowledge of designing and preparing excel & google spreadsheets and slide deck presentations.
  • Management theory and knowledge of standard accounting procedures, program planning, management, and evaluation principles, methods and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of statistics and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of Grant development and management, budget development and monitoring, and report writing especially related to federal rules and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in related field may substitute for 2 years of professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage program contracts including providing day-to-day technical assistance to contracted programs.
  • Review and approve contractor monthly invoices, narrative reports, and fidelity monitoring requests and reports.
  • Monitor sub recipient program budgets.
  • Conduct annual contractor site visits and facilitator observations with recommendations for improvement of programs and facilitation delivery.
  • Implement and monitor program policy to adhere to federal and state requirements.
  • Identify and develop collaborations and partnerships between individuals and agencies involved in adolescent health programming.
  • Write grant applications, develop requests for proposal, evaluate proposal applications, and negotiate contracts to provide educational services.
  • Plan and coordinate professional development trainings and conferences for contracted program staff and youth councils.
  • Develop written program materials and deliver oral presentations, develop required written reports.
  • Attend Bureau, Office, and team staff meetings and confer with supervisor.
