The Health Plan Project Assistant is responsible supports both AHCCCS and Medicare regulatory work for TAT on all investigations. Requests Medical Records for over 150 investigations per week and sends letters to members. Support with QM Medicaid Committees. POSITION SUMMARY This position supports department performance regulatory requirements including data collection, provider and member outreach and administrative support activities related to the department's Program. This position will be responsible for providing support to the department Managers and Supervisors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
  • Experience typically gained through three to five years of computer experience, that includes database management and expertise.
  • Requires skill in organizing work and records to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Previous knowledge of AHCCCS programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Requires an organized individual who can prioritize the workload to efficiently produce timely and accurate results under varying situations.
  • Skills to manage significant amounts of electronic data through the use of a computerized office suite.
  • Ability to set priorities relative to work load in a fast paced environment and to complete and assist in the management of projects and provides support on a variety of different projects.

Nice To Haves

  • College level courses in business, information systems, healthcare administration, or related field preferred
  • Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Creates spreadsheets from raw data in order to create mail merges used to execute mass mailings for education and service promotions.
  • Monitors, updates and compiles (tracks) the success of implemented activities.
  • Responsible for data collection and analysis on various EPSDT/QM projects. Retrieves data from databases, prepares excel spreadsheets.
  • Supports member and provider outreach activities by compiling member and provider data used for: outbound calling campaigns; member educational mailings; provider mailings; and provider site visits.
  • Monitor, maintain and update and is responsible for data entry for Health Plans.
  • Compiles and prepares administrative reports required by State Agencies in order to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Works independently under general supervision. This position provides support to various customers, internal and external to ensure customer satisfaction. This position is required to maintain thorough knowledge of department services to direct and assist all customers in an efficient manner. This position ensures policy and regulatory compliance by providing reliable, accurate and timely data. Customers include employees, managers, and other Quality Management team members.
