Health Plan Nurse
About The Position
As a Health Plan Nurse at Apple Valley Village Health Care Center, you will serve as a liaison to residents’ insurance benefits while supporting the Case Manager with Medicare scheduling, monthly billing, charting, and notices of non-coverage. You’ll collaborate with Admissions, the Case Manager, and the Supply Coordinator, lead Medicare team meetings, ensure physician certifications are obtained, and perform additional duties as needed to support quality care and compliance. Position Type: Full-Time, benefit eligible position. You will also be a part of the Nurse Manager Weekend and Holiday rotation.
Requirements
- RN or LPN license in the state of Minnesota required.
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience preferably in TCU.
- Capable of multitasking and staying organized.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
Nice To Haves
- Utilization Management preferred.
- MDS experience preferred.
- Experience with Medicare and patient’s insurance preferred.
- Proficient in computer software.
Responsibilities
