About The Position

What Health Physicist (Quality Compliance) contributes to Cardinal Health Quality develops and implements quality policies, procedures, and processes to ensure products and services comply with regulatory standards and specifications. Health Physics provides support and consulting to nuclear pharmacies, manufacturing facilities, medical and non-medical facilities, for the safe use of radioactive materials and radiation producing machines, to enable compliant company and customer business operations. This job family develops, deploys, implements, and trains on health physics and radiation safety policies, procedures, and programs. Health physics engages in licensing, packaging design, auditing, facility and equipment testing, emergency response, and other regulatory activities. Shift/Schedule 1st shift hours 7:00am – 3:30pm Must be flexible to help on 2nd shift or weekends if needed

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of experience, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 2-4 years of Radioactive Material Handling Experience
  • Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects
  • May contribute to the development of policies and procedures
  • Works on complex projects of large scope
  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives
  • Completes work independently; receives general guidance on new projects
  • Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives
  • May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with radiopharmaceuticals is a plus.

Responsibilities
