About The Position

Syndax Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Health Outcomes Liaison (HOL) for the Great Lakes region, which includes Indiana, Wisconsin, Kentucky, West Virginia, Michigan, and Illinois. The HOL is a field-based medical colleague responsible for providing therapeutic area/product expertise, focusing on organized customers such as Regional Payers, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Specialty Pharmacy Providers (SPPs), and Population Based Decision Makers (PBDM). The role involves communicating important medical content related to the safe and appropriate use of Syndax medicines, responding to medical inquiries, and engaging with healthcare professionals (HCPs) in various capacities. The HOL will also facilitate communication between HCPs and headquarters Medical Affairs colleagues, contribute to brand medical strategies, and develop relationships with KOLs to discuss data related to Syndax products and pipeline assets.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree required, preferably M.D., D.O., Pharm.D., Ph.D., APN, or PA.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Managed Care/PBM, VA/DoD, CMS, State Medicaid, health care consulting, pharmaceutical industry, or related environment preferred.
  • Completion of relevant Residency or Fellowship programs may be considered in lieu of some work experience.
  • Account management experience is preferred.
  • Strong scientific acumen, impactful communication skills, active listening skills, networking, relationship development, lead/influence without authority, business analysis skills, advanced technical expertise, critical thinking, innovative problem-solving skills, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with HCPs in the region, including therapeutic area HCPs affiliated with organized customers and KOLs.
  • Respond to medical questions regarding Syndax products for the designated therapeutic area.
  • Present to payers, managed care organizations, formulary decision makers, and regional medical advisory boards.
  • Facilitate communication between regional and national HCPs and headquarters Medical Affairs colleagues.
  • Provide customer insights that contribute to the development of brand medical strategies.
  • Facilitate Syndax sponsored and investigator-initiated studies activities in the region.
  • Engage in and develop relationships with KOLs to discuss data related to Syndax molecules and future pipeline assets.
