About The Position

As a HealthMarket Clerk, this position will be responsible for safely handling food and ensuring the work area is always clean and neat. You will review the status and appearance of the merchandise for freshness. Additionally, you will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members.

Requirements

• Less than high school or equivalent experience.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience.
• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to do simple addition and subtraction.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner.
• Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible.
• Assists customers by escorting them to the products they're looking for.
• Secures products that are out of reach, loads or unloads heavy items.
• Makes notes of and passes along customer suggestions or requests.
• Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service.
• Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Understands and practices proper sanitation procedures.
• Reviews the status and appearance of the merchandise for freshness.
• Ensures an adequate product supply is ready and on hand.
• Anticipates product needs for the department daily.
• Checks in product and puts product away.
• Removes trash promptly and replenishes product as necessary.
• Assists in educating customers by offering suggestions and answering questions.
• Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.

Benefits

• Hourly starting wage of $15.00 to $18.75 depending on experience.
