The Health Maintenance Activity Attendant is a person who is specifically trained, competent and performs assigned functions of health maintenance activity attendant to the client in their residence under the direction, instruction and supervision of qualified Agency personnel/Agency’s Licensed Health Care Professional. In this role, you will report to the Operations Manager/IHSS Clinical Program Manager. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities: Understands and adheres to established Agency policies and procedures Understands and promotes client rights Performs health maintenance activities in accordance with the plan of care and Agency policy. Duties include but are not limited to: skin care, ambulation, bathing, dressing, feeding, hair care, mouth care, nail care, positioning, shaving, toileting, transfers, medication management, protective oversight, bowel/blader care, respiratory care, etc. (Minor attendants will not be permitted to operate floor-based vertical powered patient/resident lift devices, ceiling-mounted vertical powered patient/resident lift devices, and powered sit-to-stand patient/resident lift devices (lifting devices) Performs household services essential to care in the home as assigned Completes appropriate service notes completely, accurately and in a timely manner as per Agency policy Reports changes in the client’s condition and needs to the supervisor Participates in all required orientation, training, competency and in-service programs as scheduled and necessary per Agency policy Is available for and participates in the supervisory visits per Agency direction Participates in coordination of client care, as required
