About The Position

About the Position : Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities related to preparing, classifying and abstracting medical reports in the medical records unit.

Requirements

  • eligibility for accreditation with the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
  • two years of experience working with patient records in a medical setting such as a hospital, state institution, medical clinic or a physician’s office
  • accreditation with the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Health Technician (RHIT)
  • eligibility for registration as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
  • applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs
  • Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result
  • THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK
  • EMPLOYEES MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OVERTIME
