About The Position

Responsible for maintaining the content of Health Records in accordance with CHDI Policies and Procedures.Converts paper records into electronic records and files accurately in the patient's electronic chart. Monitors access of the Health Record department and maintains security of PHI. Responds to requests for PHI in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1993 as amended.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1-2 years' experience in a health care setting preferred.
  • Experience in safeguarding patient records and ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
