The College of Dentistry is seeking a Health Information Specialist to manage the lifecycle of dental records, from active maintenance through secure retention and disposal of inactive files. Creating duplicate records for various purposes (continued care, insurance processing, legal issues, and personal reasons). Fulfilling record requests and ensuring compliance via mail, fax, and email Answering the telephone in Dental Records, addressing issues from patients and staff members. Operating the switchboard as needed to route calls to the appropriate clinics or departments Staffing the Patient Services desk (as needed), registering new patients, and checking in returning patients. Additional duties as assigned.
