Requirements

Dependability and professionalism with at least 6+ months of medical/radiology office work experience (or completed medical office training education/program)
Computer skills
High School Diploma
Medical terminology knowledge.
The ability to multi-task, excellent customer service skills, great communication skills, clean driving record (No SR-22, DUI or suspended license within the last 7 years), and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds are also a must!

Responsibilities

Answer phones, kindly talk patients through the steps and answer their questions and concerns.
Organize and prioritize requests for medical records, and route medical records appropriately based on patient's time of exam.
Copy electronic medical records and images onto CDs.
Provide courteous and professional service to attorneys, referring physicians, and patients requesting medical records.
May occasionally drive to nearby centers and/or medical offices to deliver or retrieve medical films/CD's.
May cross-train and help in other departments as needed.
Participate in various projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.
Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
