Health Information Management Representative
About The Position
Health Information Management Representative at St. Joseph Hospital Eureka, CA. This position is full time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts. Under the immediate supervision of the Health information Management Department Manager, the Health Data Coordinator I performs complex functions necessary to ensure a complete and integrated health record in compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, hospital policies and procedures, and state and federal regulations. They process and fulfill requests for medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations, organizational policies, and legal requirements. Requirements
- Coursework/Training: Completed a medical terminology class or complete within 1 year of hire
- 1 year of Medical record or related health care experience
Nice To Haves
- Coursework/Training: Post high school education that demonstrates the ability to problem solve through critical thinking
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) - American Health Information Management Association upon hire
