About The Position

COME BUILD YOUR CAREER WITH VIBRA HEALTHCARE! We are seeking a Health Information Management Clerk/Technician to join our team! Vibra Hospital of Northern California, located in Redding, CA, is a 50 bed Critical Care Hospital and a 32 bed SNF providing long-term acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Previous medical records clerical experience preferred.
• Experience performing quantitative analysis in a medical records department preferred.
• Current, valid, and active RHIT or RHIA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and analyze patient medical records.
• Process health information requests and filing.
• Assist with release of appropriately documented information requests.
• Perform routine data collection.
• Assist with chart completion to ensure proper sequence of documents.
• Confirm presence of authorized signatures, required documents, and identification on all forms.
• Assure timely access to complete records for coding purposes.
• Generate transcription reports and update deficiencies in company's electronic or medical record system.
• Provide support to the HIM Manager/Director as needed.
