About The Position
Performs wide variety of technical and general administrative duties for the Director of Health Information Management. Provides support to the Health Information Management and Coding supervisors. Duties include a working knowledge of the operation of the Health Information Management department.
Requirements
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to prepare spreadsheets, graphs, minutes, flow charts, utilize work processing
- Ability to work with confidential information
- Experience with compiling statistical reports
Nice To Haves
- Associates Degree in Health Information Management or equivalent education/experience preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Working knowledge with spreadsheets, word-processing and statistical reports.
- Working knowledge of Allscripts medical records system helpful
