Health Informatics Specialist will be responsible for providing analytic support and quantifying business requirements and performing analyses, forecasting, and mining of data to support cross-functional teams and stakeholders. They will review patients’ records for timeliness, completeness and accuracy while communicating with cross-functional teams as appropriate. The Health Informatics Specialist will ensure that there is quality maintenance of the patient information/medical records within applicable laws, policies, rules, and regulations. They will also perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in clinical healthcare field, Business Discipline, Healthcare Management, Health Information Management, Healthcare Informatics and/or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Demonstrate advanced ability to operate a computer, multiple software applications, and other office equipment as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical experience.
  • Work experience in an acute care health information management setting.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to deal with and establish working relationships with physicians, hospital personnel and co-workers.
  • R.H.I.A or R.H.I.T certified
