About The Position

The Health Informatics Analyst II (HIAII) is a senior technical and strategic analytics role responsible for transforming clinical, operational, financial, and population health data into actionable intelligence that supports organizational decision-making, regulatory reporting, and quality improvement initiatives. This role combines advanced healthcare analytics, business intelligence, and clinical informatics expertise. The analyst serves as a key liaison between clinical leadership, operations, executive leadership, and IT by translating complex healthcare data into meaningful dashboards, reports, and insights that improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and organizational performance. The Health Informatics Analyst II plays a critical role in advancing data governance, supporting EHR optimization (NextGen and OCHIN Epic), and strengthening the organization’s enterprise analytics capabilities. This is an onsite position.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of healthcare analytics, health informatics, or business intelligence experience
  • Medium to advanced SQL proficiency (complex joins, CTEs, data modeling, performance tuning)
  • Experience developing dashboards in Tableau and Power BI
  • Experience working with EHR data (NextGen and Epic)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced SQL and relational database expertise
  • Report building and design with Tableau
  • PowerBi dashboard and reporting design and build
  • Healthcare analytics and regulatory reporting knowledge preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, Public Health, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience reporting from OCHIN Epic or Epic Clarity/Caboodle
  • Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health setting
  • Experience supporting regulatory and payer reporting (HEDIS, UDS, GPRA, CMS)
  • Experience with data warehousing or ETL processes
  • Experience mentoring or leading analytics projects

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and datasets supporting enterprise analytics and regulatory reporting
  • Build scalable data models and datasets from EHR, operational, financial, and external data sources
  • Perform advanced data profiling, validation, and anomaly detection to ensure data integrity and reliability
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and automated reporting processes
  • Partner with IT to improve data architecture, data warehousing, and analytics infrastructure
  • Lead development and maintenance of reporting for: HEDIS / UDS / GPRA / CMS / payer measures Population health and panel management Quality improvement initiatives
  • Grant and regulatory reporting
  • Support data submissions to funders, health plans, and regulatory agencies Ensure consistency and accuracy of externally reported data
  • Develop reporting and analytics from: NextGen EHR OCHIN Epic / Epic direct reporting tools (Clarity/Caboodle preferred)
  • Support optimization of EHR data workflows and data capture practices Collaborate with Clinical Informatics and Operations teams to improve documentation and workflow alignment with reporting needs
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical, operational, executive, and technical teams Translate business and clinical needs into data requirements Present findings and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams Provide consultation on data-driven decision-making and strategic initiatives
  • Support and enforce data governance standards, documentation, and data access protocols Promote data literacy through training, documentation, and user support Mentor junior analysts and support knowledge sharing across the team
  • Participate in and lead analytics support for quality improvement initiatives Identify opportunities for workflow and process improvement using data insights Monitor trends and proactively identify risks or gaps in performance
