About The Position
The Health Facilities Inspector 2 position is a critical role within the State of Nevada's Department of Health and Human Services, specifically in the Division of Public and Behavioral Health. This position is responsible for conducting thorough inspections of various health care facilities and services, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient care centers, among others. The inspector will ensure compliance with state licensure and federal certification standards, as well as investigate complaints related to health care services throughout Nevada. Inspections may be conducted individually or as part of a team, and the inspector will be expected to document findings and prepare reports based on their evaluations. The Health Facilities Inspector 2 will play a vital role in safeguarding public health by ensuring that health care facilities meet established standards for safety and quality. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of health care regulations. The inspector will also engage with facility staff to provide guidance on compliance issues and may be involved in follow-up inspections to ensure that corrective actions have been implemented. Previous experience in health care or regulatory compliance is preferred, as it will enhance the inspector's ability to effectively assess facilities and services.
